AFRICAN INDEPENDENCE

africa changed so much during the 20 year time period.
one of the causes of the african change was because the british colony developed the first african colony in south sahara to basically achieve independence, called the gold coast. some of the leaders during the african independence were: mobutu sese seko, ahmed ben bella, kwane nkrumah and jomo kenyatta.

kwane nkrumah was the most important leader becuase he was the one who helped to liberate the Gold coast from the british.
after all the revolutions and stuff the had they finally received their independence and they took the name ghana and this nation became the first nation to be governed by black africans.
